Welcome to Creative Strategies for Learning

Creative Strategies for Learning, located in downtown Danville, has served 2nd through 10th grade students from Alamo, Danville, San Ramon, and Walnut Creek since 2005. Tutoring and enrichment learning services are offered year-round for a wide range of subjects such as reading basics, reading for comprehension, writing, mathematics, and college essay preparation. Instructional programs are individualized to the unique needs of each student. All programs include study skills to promote executive functioning.

Creative Strategies for Learning helps students to meet their goals in a calm, creative, and supportive setting. Innovative hands-on activities engage students to think more deeply, pay attention, and have some fun.

"Our son will be entering 7th grade in the fall and has been working with Erin on a weekly basis since 4th grade. Erin is such a positive influence on his academic success. At each session, Erin is ready for whatever challenges come her way. Her numerous years as a classroom teacher shine in the way she interacts with our son and her ability to get him engaged in the work. She has taught him valuable skills such as how to study and prepare for tests, how to work smarter on his assignments, how to ask the right questions when he is confused and boosted his overall confidence as a student. "My son was very nervous about the idea of getting a "tutor". At this first meeting with Erin, she told him to think of her as a coach. It immediately put him at ease and allowed him to be open to the instruction. She helps him stay motivated, organized and on task.
